My royal way

Good evening, veterans.
As agreed last week, after the bloodbath of our semestral second-person exploration, we will be focusing on just two quick songs this Thursday. They are easy to follow, and we will focus more on the discussion than studying the text, which furthers our plan to transition into higher forms of language. The songs are as follows:
"My Way", sung by Frank Sinatra. It is a classic; enough said. The message is powerful from its point of view, and it carries some simple but fun rhymes to boot! There isn't much more I can say than remind you to listen to it a couple of times before following the lyrics, which is imperative to improve your listening skills.
Our second song is also one you might have heard before: "I just can't wait to be king", by the Broadway cast of the Lion King musical. This song is considerably more difficult than the former, but also wonderfully filled to the brim with unprompted puns. We will talk about the characters who sing the song, so if you have not watched the movie before, look up the story! It will be our rope back towards Shakespeare.
Both songs are about the same fundamental idea for human existence, one that is tainted by two obviously different lenses. Try to find out what it might be, as it will be the center of our discussions!
Doth it seem right unto ye good folk?
