The Boshin war

Hi everyone! As we discussed, this week we will be listening to this song that I randomly came across on Youtube a few weeks ago
A bit of context that I find important to know: Veela, the lyrics composer, wrote this inspired by Nakano Takeko, more precisely, the moment of her death
Nakano Takeko was a japanese female warrior famed for fighting in the Boshin war, aka Japan's most famous civil war. She also led a group of female warriors called "Joshitai". All of that independently since women were not allowed to join the military forces at the time.
During one the battles, she was fatally wounded and asked her sister(who was also part of the Joshitai) to behead her as a means to die honorably
Fun fact: her sister later buried her head in a place where she built a school atop, not sure if the school still stands though
The song doesn't really tell a story, the way I see, it's trying to convey what Takeko was feeling on her last moments
