Hello, folks!

I apologize for not sending this message earlier. Hopefully, you'll still have plenty of time to listen to these two songs a couple of times.

The songs are about one of the first big hurdles Odysseus finds on his travels: He and his 600 men go to the land of the giants, where he finds a cave full of food and treasures. The cave belongs to Polyphemus (Po-li-fê-mus), a cyclops. After a brief exchange of words, through which Odysseus cleverly claims to be named "Nobody", the heroes discover it is impossible to reason with this giant. When threatened by him, the men attack. The songs tell the story of this combat.

In the second song, after defeating the cyclops, Odysseus makes a fatal mistake, in the eyes of the goddess. Do you think it's a reasonable mistake?

The songs should be easy enough to follow, although they have some interesting words and, most importantly, important phrase structures. Above everything else, it tells a simple coherent story with action descriptions that should be easy to visualize. Remember to listen to the songs a couple of times before picking up the lyrics!

We don't have a locale set for our meeting yet, but the time should be the same, as well as the date (next Thursday, the 20th of March). In these next days, I'll update everyone with the location and remind them of the time.

I'm looking forward to our first meeting!
